Y4 Rowan Class 'Winters Child' 30.01.25

This half term in year 4, we have been reading Winters Child by Angela McAllister.

This week, Rowan Class enjoyed exploring the Winters Child’s thoughts and feelings through hot seating the main character and through drama using conscience alley. Our ‘winter should go’ side managed to persuade winter to leave.

Following the decision, we read the last part of the story to find out Winter did choose to leave and Springs daughter then arrived. We are all excited to be writing the sequel to the story. ‘Springs Child.’ Today, as writers, we had an active session, generating and recording noun phrases that we will use in our story.
