Y2 Fire Safety Visit 10.11.22
As 'Educated Citizens' in Y2 this afternoon, we learned about Fire Safety with the Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service.
Smokey the Bear, taught us about the actions we need to take in the event of a fire which included:
- what to do if our clothes caught fire
- the importance of having a working smoke alarm at home and how to check
- what to do if the smoke alarm sounds, particularly at night
Y2 will have brought home a ' Get out, Stay out, Call 99, poster and letter explaining more about what they have learned and the steps you need to take at home to keep the whole family safe. Please read these with your child as their home reading for tonight.
The fire officers praised the children for the behaviour and attitude to learning - well done Y2.
